ACADEMIC AND CLASS PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS

What one gains from the class is a direct result of his/her personal investment in the process.  Students are expected to maintain a positive and academic attitude toward the subject matter, and complete all assignments on time and be daily prepared for class.

1.  BE ON TIME

2.  BRING ALL MATERIALS TO CLASS

3.  PARTICIPATE IN ALL CLASS ACTIVITIES

4.  RESPECT YOURSELF, YOUR TEACHER and YOUR CLASSMATES

Completing and understanding assignments is essential for doing well on quizzes and tests.  If you do not understand an assignment you will not pass the next quiz or test!  Therefore, working to understand and make sense of an assignment is crucial to your success in this class.

A daily agenda will be written on the board so you know what to expect for the class period.  The purpose of this agenda is to make the best use of our class time.  It is expected that you move quickly and quietly as we change activities.

A FEW EXTRAS…

I will sign your agenda 2 times each quarter for you to leave the classroom.  Use class change time to use the restroom, sharpen pencils, get a drink, go to your locker, etc.

·      You may have a water bottle, but no other food or drink is allowed.

·      The bell does not dismiss class – I do!
